Resolved - Between 01/22/2020 8:20 PM UTC to 01/23/2020 4:49 PM UTC, user search functionality was not working for Confluence, Jira Core, Jira Service Desk, and Jira Software. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.

Monitoring - We have identified the root cause of the failure of the user search for some users and have mitigated the problem. We are now monitoring closely as some users may experience higher latencies.

Identified - We are fixing a problem with user search for some Confluence, Jira Core, Jira Service Desk, and Jira Software Cloud customers in the US east and EU regions. The root cause is a problem with failing updates/replication to the user search index.

Resolved - Between 20:20 UTC to 22:00 UTC, we experienced failures in user searches for Confluence, Jira Core, Jira Service Desk, Jira Software, and Bitbucket due to significantly elevated latencies, action has been taken and latencies have returned to an acceptable level.

Resolved - Between 22nd Jan 02:00 UTC to 22nd Jan 10:30 UTC, we experienced user search operating in a degraded state in some regions for Jira Core. The issue has been resolved and the user search is operating normally.

User mentions and user searches (JQLs, user picker fields, JSD queues, etc.) will be slower than usual.
Normal operation is expected to resume by 23:00 January, 22 UTC.

Resolved - Between 15th Jan 9:43 UTC to 22nd Jan 2:39 UTC, some Jira Cloud customers were unable to add or search for individual users in Tempo apps. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.
